A True genius

There can no doubt any longer that Cameroon's education giant Bobe Francis Yong is a true genius. People in my part of the country are very proud of him. There are many Cameroonians who have gone to the best universities at home and abroad specializing in one field or another but are still to make a contribution equal to that of Mr. Yong to develop his country.  After creating schools and contributing to the building of the nation through education, he is breaking new grounds in sports. He has given his region a team in the first division. The people of Bamenda shall now be able to proudly watch first division matches thanks to the victory of his team in this year's cup finals. He is a man of great vision, courage, hard work, faith, persistence and perseverance.  These qualities have enabled him to carve out a unique place for himself in the history of Cameroon.  He thus stamps his footprints on the sands of time.

The greatest success story in the world is re-told and celebrated every year during this month. It is a story which you know very well, don't you? It is the story of the birth of a child; a child who is different from every other child; a birth that is different from any other birth; a birth that changed the world. It is a beautiful and inspiring story which can change your life. Read this story.  Listen to it. It is meant for you. The author of this story is the greatest writer of all times. No one has ever written or will ever write a better, greater or more inspiring story. Those who believe this story are children of light.  Those who do not are children of darkness. You are a child of light; you believe. But many around us are still in darkness. May we pray that they may believe; that anyone who does not believe may, like you, believe!

How great was Nelson Mandela?

To some people Nelson Mandela is only the greatest son of Africa.  To others, he is the greatest man of this century. To others, there are many who stand shoulders higher than him. It is interesting what you think?Look at these great men.  Does Nelson Mandela feature among the first three? Abraham Lincoln, JF kennedy, Winston Churchill, William Shakespeare, Leonid Breznev, Mao Tse Tung, Mahatma Gandhi, Kwame Nkruma, Pope John Paul II, Blessed Mother Teresa, Lady Diana?

Agronomist Ngobesing Emilia

I am thrilled by the success story of Mrs. Ngobesing Emilia Siri. She is an agronomist with a passion for agriculture. She returned to University after having her last child and has been rewarded with a degree in agronomy, an area many people think is reserved for men. She believes her country is doing a good thing by intensifying investment in Agriculture; that more food  needs to be produced for everybody. With more than 90% of the world going hungry, this is vital. More is being done in her country at the moment than in past years to ensure that more food is produced; but that should not be all. She holds that what is produced should be made to reach everybody. What obtains now is the little that is produced ends with the rich leaving the poor hungry and desperate. We must never forget that a hungry man is an angry man; and that a mouth that is full does not talk. Under the distinguished supervision of Dr. Oben of the University of Dschang, this determined and highly motivated lady has done research on rice cultivation in Lower Bafut and believes that the revival of rice farming in this region will not only enhance the quality of life for the local inhabitants but will be a big boost to rice production in Cameroon.

The story of Nelson Mandela is an outstanding example of a success story. Like every success story it has its high and low moments; but the high moments are so outstanding they have completely eclipsed the low ones.
If the whole world admires Nelson Mandela it is because of what he has offered the world. He has offered the world  many lessons which the world needs: enduring examples of selflessness, forgiveness, love, courage and perseverance in the face of hardship. He spent the best part of his life,- his youth - fighting for his people.  He was fearless.  He was  a man of great courage.  He did not fear to die for his convictions.  He did not fear to die for his people, for the common good. He willingly gave up power, a thing many African leaders, especially, find difficult to do.
As the world celebrates the life of this phenomenal personality, Excellent World International Organization is not left out. We join in to call on all of us to emulate, in or own way, Nelson Mandela. If we all did as he did, the world would be a far better place for everybody.
